Speaker FAQ
Do I need to register for the event if I am a speaker?
Yes, registration is required for all speakers and should be completed as soon as possible once you are confirmed. Registration for speakers is completely complimentary and can be completed here. If you have previously registered as an attendee or a sponsor, please reach out to support@greenbiz.com to get your registration updated. If you paid for an attendee registration before getting confirmed as a speaker, you will have the option to transfer your pass to a colleague or accept a credit for a future GreenBiz event.
Why am I not showing up on the Circularity 24 website as a speaker?
This is likely because you have not yet submitted your headshot and bio. You should have received an email from jessica@greenbiz.com will a link to a form to submit this information. Once submitted, please allow 48-72 hours for our team to update your information on our website. If you have any questions or believe you've already submitted this information, please reach out to jessica@greenbiz.com.
What is the code to access the event app?
No code is needed. You must log in to Whova with the same email address you used to register for the event. If you would like to change the email attached to your registration (and Whova login), please email jessica@greenbiz.com.
How do I set up polling for my session?
Instructions on setting up both polling and live Q+A on Whova can be found here.
When do I need to arrive on-site?
Tutorial and Breakout Speakers:
Please plan to arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the start of your session to ensure you can locate the room. The volunteers at our registration desk can help point you in the right direction if needed. We encourage you to participate in as much of the conference as you can!
Keynote Speakers:
Please plan to arrive at the venue at least an hour before the start of your session. You will receive further instructions closer to the event, as we expect our keynote speakers to arrive at either the reserved speaker tables or speaker green room (varies by event) at least 30-45 minutes prior to the start of their session to ensure we have time to get you mic'd up and ready to go.
Will my presentation be recorded?
We livestream and record all keynote presentations. After the event, we post the recordings of the presentation to GreenBiz.com. Breakouts and tutorials are not recorded.
What should I wear?
The dress code for GreenBiz events is business casual. If you are a keynote speaker, please dress in camera-friendly clothing:
What to wear on camera
Solid colored clothes. Best bets are navy blues, grays, purples, dark creams, browns and neutral.
Natural fabrics that breathe easily under the warm stage lights
Accessories with subtle patterns
Simple jewelry
What not to wear on camera
Stark white and bright yellow that tend to reflect light and appear too strong on camera
Black that absorbs light and tends to diminish appearance on camera
Pinstripes, checks, herringbones, tweeds, plaids and any other complicated or tightly designed patterns
Shiny or glossy fabrics
Dangly jewelry that may interfere with your microphone -- you may be asked to remove any jewelry that will interrupt audio quality!
Will there be press on-site?
Yes. If you are interested in receiving a list of media that will be on site, please email jessica@greenbiz.com to get added to the media request list. Media/press lists will be sent out the week before the event.
Will there be a prep meeting before my session?
It is the responsibility of the moderator to connect all speakers before the event to discuss the content and flow of the session. If you have any concerns, please reach out to the GreenBiz content lead who confirmed your participation or jessica@greenbiz.com.
Can I get a calendar hold for my session?
Calendar holds for all sessions will be sent out 1-2 weeks before the start of the event. Calendar holds for breakout and tutorial sessions will be set for 10 minutes before the actual start of the session to ensure you arrive early. Calendar holds for keynote sessions will be set for 30 minutes prior. Please note that the calendar hold will appear in whatever timezone your calendar is set for, but the event is taking place in Central time.
Can I get a list of attendees?
We do not share attendee lists externally and encourage you to view the Who Attends page of our site.
Is there a slide template?
Yes, you can download a slide template here.
How do I share my slides with attendees?
You can use this form to submit your slide to be shared with attendees post-event. You may also upload your slides to the Whova app once available.
